Be Smart Fashion Design Association
We are professionally trained tailors who run a small tailoring shop in one of Nairobi's poorer neighborhoods and are proud to be self-supporting small business people.
The members of Be Smart actively recruit at-risk youth from their community and offer them meaningful involvement in the group's business. Building on the success of this approach, the group plans to open a tailoring school. They have secured an appropriate rental stall near their current shop as well as their first group of eager paying students. Now Be Smart needs startup capital for machines and sewing materials.
