Mathare Youth Talent Organisation
We are known as MYTO in the large slum of Mathare. Our primary objective is to foster the musical and dramatic talent of local youth, offering high-quality entertainment such as dance, theatre and musical performances to engage, excite and educate our audiences.
MYTO currently owns and manages a raised stage (dais), which in addition to using for performances they regularly rent out for income. Most of the income that MYTO generates goes to supporting a school that they established and operate for orphan children.
MYTO wishes to expand their business portfolio by adding a professional level Public Address (PA) System to their assets, for external rentals as well as internal use. The group has a secure storage location and in-house technical knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment care and handling, and is seeking a loan of $3500 in order to purchase the equipment, which would almost immediately begin generating income and be repayable in approximately 18 months.
