Kinari Small Self Help Group
We are a collective of market stall sellers and plan to use our cooperative business model to expand our businesses. We currently operate a sanitation (toilet) block in our market.
Members of the unique and inspiring Kinari Small Scale group are experienced farmers who were driven from their original homelands by political violence over a decade ago. The 31 members have formed a collective. They each run a vegetable selling stall at a popular local market, and manage a sanitation block (public pay-per-use toilets). They are saving diligently so they can communally purchase and run a farm near Nairobi.
This group is not seeking financial aid of any kind but instead simply want to share their story and invite interested members and activists to connect with them, offer guidance or advice, or perhaps come and visit them in Nairobi and help them start their farm in the coming years!
