Nairobi Disabled Empowerment
We are an advocacy and outreach organization for people living with disabilities.
People with disabilities in Kenya, especially in poorer communities, face many barriers ranging from basic transportation to societal exclusion. NADEP aims to change this. With microfinance support and the help of their friends and loved ones, the members of this group are learning trades like beadwork and crafts, and are starting a chicken farming business on a relative's plot of land.
What this group wishes for is an ongoing mentorship relationship with a similarly focused group -- an advocacy and outreach organization for people with disabilities.
